Artists
To use artist styles, simply include the artist's name somewhere in your prompt. For example, using "By Artist Name" at the end of the prompt is generally a reliable method. No special punctuation of any kind is necessary. Select No Style, then generate.
It is possible to combine artists' styles with different art mediums by adding "[Style: Your Art Medium]" to your prompt. Testing "Starry Night by Van Gogh [Style: Pastels]" yielded disappointing results, but replacing pastels with B&W Pencil looked like Van Gogh was using a pencil to create Starry Night. It's tough to determine why some styles/artists play better with each other than others, but one tip is trying the most disparate combos possible, to make it more obvious what you're looking for.
Testing art styles, on the other hand, yielded little to no success–just hints of the styles, such as vaporwave, cubism, or kaleidoscope were visible in Van Gogh's Starry Night. Using less distinct prompts and artists with more distinct styles can help, but you'll have to compromise somewhere.
